I know you’ve heard this a ‘million’ times already, but I’ll still say it - Happy New Year! Hopefully, you get to achieve all you’ve set out to achieve this year…. Amen?
The truth is, prayer(s) won’t help you neither will those ‘New Years Resolutions’.
Every 31st of Dec, I spend time reviewing the goals I set months earlier and I learned a couple of things from the goals I ended up acing:
Build habits/systems to help you achieve goals.
Work on your mindset. You truly achieve what you set your mind on.
Implement the 80:20 rule. You can read more on this from my Instagram page
Get an accountability partner
Document and regularly your the little wins (growth)
There’ll be nothing new about the year, your life or your career if you don’t make time to set SMART1 goals now.
Do it now! It won’t take you more than 20 minutes.
That said, in the spirit of ‘something new’. I’ll be launching a new podcast called The Grinders Table. On this podcast, I’ll spend time talking to entrepreneurs, innovators, c-suites on how they have built/are building successful careers as well as their mistakes and failures. It is launching on Sunday, January 14th, and I am so excited!
Here’s a trailer to whet your appetite -

I’ll leave you with three sentences/mantras that are guiding my journey through 2022:
Disappointments don’t matter, shrug it off and keep pushing
Underpromise, Overdeliver
Fxxxk perfection, just get shit done! (Still a Team Quality over Quantity though).
To achieve any goal they must be SMART:
Specific: is the goal sensible and well defined?
Measurable: What constitutes success?
Attainable: Do you have the available knowledge and resources to achieve the goal?
Relevant: How well does your goal tie back into your grand plan for your career/business?
Time bound: Is there enough time to achieve the goal?
