Today’s insight will be short but very relevant. Before that, I’ll like to share today’s episode on The Grinders Table - Anchor, Apple. I got introduced to Eman 2 weeks ago and I immediately wanted to have her on my podcast. She is inspiring.
Is there anyone you’d like to be on the podcast? Share in the comment section.
I stumbled upon this book “The Order of Time” by Carlo Rovelli and it smacked me right in the head! (Ps. still reading the book, I’m a slow reader)
We all experience time as something that ticks by steadily (tick tock tick tock), as something that can be divided up into slots and moments, dedicated to different tasks, and very directional.
These moments are experienced differently for different people, even when they are together.
Your life (or what we see as people’s legacy) is a summation of all the (micro)moments we experience as time flows by.
What are micro-moments?
In plain words, micro-moments are intent-rich moments when decisions are made and preferences shaped.
If micro-moments are this important, how come not many of us focus on them? Here’s why, in the time flow of life, we often regard the ‘big and conscious’ happenings as more important and pivotal. I think we’ve been so wrong!
Our marketing gurus tell us that micro-moments are determined by 4 behavioural patterns per time on a simplistic level:
What you want to know
What you want to do
Where you want to go
What you want to buy
I’ll add two more
How you want to be perceived
How it adds to your vision or end-goal
To take charge of your life, destiny, legacy (etc.), how you answer and react to these questions per time down to those decision making micro-seconds will eventually shape your life.
Take charge of your micro-moments!!!!!!
