"Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life". We often scoff at this quote but the whole point of the quote is to say that if you pursue your passion, working will no longer be a chore but a delight because you have ‘something’ to look forward to. However, pursuing our passion(s) is not always simple. And for most people, their passion will never be tied/linked to what they have to work on (or to make a living). Besides, life eventually gets in the way and we occasionally find ourselves doing what we have to do rather than what we prefer to do.
Truth be told, life is too short to waste on activities we don't find enjoyable. Every person has a certain passion that brings them life and keeps them engaged for extended periods of time without becoming worn out. It might be anything from writing, cooking, engaging in sports, bird watching, hiking, or performing music. Whatever it is, it's important to find it, nurture it, and let it drive us.
So, how do we go about finding our passion? The answer lies in exploring. We need to take the time to try new things, experiment, and see what resonates with us. It's okay if we don't find our passion right away. It might take some time, but we need to keep searching until we find something that truly excites us.
Of course, there will be times when we have to do things we don't enjoy, but we should make sure that our passion remains a constant in our lives.

This is why I often advocate for having a life outside your work/job. And even if you can’t, you can still have a life within your work/job.
In conclusion, it's essential to focus on what drives our passion rather than just doing what we need to do. Life is too short to spend it doing things we don't enjoy. By finding and nurturing our passion, we can live a more fulfilling and happier life. So, take the time to explore and find what drives you, and then make it a priority in your life. You'll be amazed at the difference it can make.
