The little things
Chronicles of an Afropreneur

Dear ,
So many emails to respond to, and I will respond to everyone eventually :)
I finished my morning jump rope routine (hopefully I can continue this for the next 8 weeks) and decided to take a stroll around my apartment, one of the perks of WFH. I oftentimes take these walks to help me think about my life, my plans and all the tasks I need to complete. This actually helps me be productive and keeps me on-track.
A lot of people have been so focused on the bigger picture, so intent on reaching their goals and dreams that it takes over their lives. Yet, everything big is a collection of all things little.
The success of the little things heavily influences the bigger picture!
Slow down, start being aware, be mindful and you will see that the "little things" are everywhere.
Appreciate that life is made up of little moments. We tend to think of life as the passage of days, weeks, years and decades. But, in essence, life is made up of little moments that we ignore.
Each day, pay attention to at least one or two moments that worked out well for you. Don’t shrug your shoulders and conclude that “it was just a bland day, nothing worked out for me”. Even a bad experience has a valuable little moment wrapped up inside of it, if only you‘re willing to dig deeper to discover it.
What did you do? What could have been done better? What were the positives? Who made you smile? What were the mistakes? What did you learn? Who took the workload off your back? What are you grateful for? Are you growing no matter how small?
Do not be carried away with the bigger picture that you stop living!
How will you start appreciating the little things/moments? Reply this email or share on Social Media using the #AfropreneurTribe hashtag.
Keep grinding,
Uwem
