As you scale your startup, plans become a reality. You finally add a few more people to the team, your customers begin to increase and expectations as well. Be careful not to introduce any additional complexities in your business process.
Simplicity is a key advantage that allows the team to communicate better, iterate faster, fail faster and outpace competition.
Falling for the complexity trap overcomplicates the business as you try to scale and build a structure for sustainability. Small complexities compound with growth, and lead to technical, organizational, and product debt that eventually slows down the company
As a founder, you need to determine when precision can and can't be sacrificed in the name of simplicity— But when in doubt, take the path that minimizes complexity.
