Everywhere I go and anytime I speak to young entrepreneurs, I always enjoin everyone to see themselves as collaborators towards Africa’s success and not competition.
It saddens me to watch African destroy themselves in the name of Xenophobia. #StopXenophobia in whatever form.
The root cause of all this “madness” is poverty and illiteracy because these keep you in a certain mindset even when things can be changed! The greatest enemy of Africa is Poverty!
What can we do about this? - Build sustainable businesses that will not just grow in revenue but teach good business values, practices and employ more people as it grows.
I often tell entrepreneurs I mentor that the journey is “sweeter” and more impactful when we all grow and succeed together. Let us find creative ways to collaborate and stop the ‘competition’ mindset.
Look at the most successful economies in the work in Europe, Asia and America, they have found ways to collaborate and build their entrepreneurship and business ecosystem to a level that they are interdependent yet unique in brand.
Everyone cannot be your competition even if you offer similar services/products.
We Rise By Lifting Each Other!!!
Keep Grinding,
